COVID-19 UPDATE #2
Thanks to many of you who are giving for POINT HONDURAS! Your donations are truly making a difference in the lives of many children, families, and communities. Today, we are sharing with you a short message and video from POINT Honduras Executive Director, Dr. Ivan.

Dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, The current COVID 19 pandemic that has stricken the entire world and has everyone in quarantine has also affected our vulnerable country. In our previous newsletter, we shared with you the drastic measures placed upon our population. Although these measures seem to be necessary for a country like Honduras, that has a very precarious health system; they have had caused a strain in many Honduran families. Many have been laid off, poverty is growing, thousands who live on a day-to-day salary are going hungry, and sadly it seems this is only the beginning of such a difficult moment. But God has been so gracious and faithful with POINT Honduras. Thanks to his goodness we haven’t stopped feeding almost 700 children. Every day the POINT cooks are preparing meals “to-go” for the children. And on Wednesday, March 25 we were able to deliver food bags so that our children and their families can have something to eat during the quarantine. There is still no permission to move freely in the streets of Tegucigalpa but we use the identified POINT vehicles and this is how we can take food to the different neighborhoods and thankfully "nobody is stopping us”. I want to thank the generosity of each one of you who make the ministry of POINT Honduras possible. It is priceless to see children savoring a plate of food, seeing them smile and hearing them say: “I am full, it was tasty!” or seeing a mother cry with gratitude for receiving a bag of food.
