This 2022 is allowing us to resume a few activities halted due to the pandemic. In February, we started by receiving a small team of members of our Advisory Board that came to help us deliver much-needed backpacks and school supplies and encouraged us.
Later, in April, we received a group of men from Harvest Church who came to help build a house and build relationships through a men's conference for our POINT churches. Time with each of them was such a blessing!
The Santos Family was so excited to see their new home. It was such an wonderful day! Thankful for donors and supporters who make possible projects such as this! Take a look at the video below and see what an awesome day it was!
Our POINT teachers have been trained with our ministry partner, Caminata Biblica / Walk Thru the Bible, for over two years. Their training has provided our teachers interactive and creative ways to introduce our children to the Old and New Testaments. In June, we received a team from the Walk Thru the Bible headquarters to gather stories from our teachers, students, and parents.
Later we welcomed back "summer teams" with the visit of Westwood church. A group of 13 adults and 13 students came ready to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they served alongside us. With Pastor Steve Weber, we had been planning this trip for the last two years. I can sum up our week together with the quote:
"Receiving teams is one way to see the kingdom of God multiply and bear fruit in unexpected ways".
We served, ate, had fun, and connected as a body in Christ Jesus. We are so thankful for them. Each member served with much kindness, joy, and willingness. Thank you, Westwood, for another wonderful team!
