Point Honduras has 4 centers across the city of Tegucigalpa serving 650 children. The children are given school tutoring by trained teachers, and also served a hot, nutritious meal, but most importantly taught the gospel of Jesus in a loving and nurturing environment.
Kindergarten Program
Kindergarten is foundational to a child's development. Studies have proven when a student attends kindergarten, they are equipped with the tools needed to be a lifetime learner.
Two of our centers have fully accredited kindergartens that help children thrive in their early development. Our Kindergarten program is certified by the Honduran government. Our teachers are certified and trained to prepare these children before they enter the Honduran schools for 1st grade.
School Tutoring Program
Honduras shows great disparities in education, it exhibits some of the lowest performances in Latin America. Less than one in ten achieve a milestone goal in reading, math and sciences. At Point Honduras we offer school tutoring to children grades 1st through 6th. Using the national education curriculum our teachers help the children achieve the needed academic milestones to properly advance to the next school grade and most importantly share the gospel daily.
