It is in God's nature to care for and bless his children. Time and time again, at POINT, we witness his unfailing love and faithfulness. Scripture says, "Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations."(Deuteronomy 7:9) What a mighty Lord we serve! In the last couple of months, the Lord has been doing wonderful things in POINT, and we are so excited to share them with you.
RECENT UPDATES
In June, the church of San Juan and Crucitas had a conjunct worship service to baptize 20 of their members. It was encouraging to see that our churches continued to minister and share the Gospel throughout the pandemic. It was a marvelous occasion as we witnessed the baptism of several of our former POINT students. They shared how their POINT teachers led them to pursue a personal relationship with God.
Alongside Walk Thru The Bible Honduras, Campus Crusade Honduras, and Our Daily Bread Honduras, we had our first session of the virtual parent seminar, "THE ART OF PARENTING." The seminar had an attendance of almost 300 people. We are so delighted to have this opportunity to share the Gospel with our children's families. Please continue to keep us in our prayers are continue with our sessions.
After not receiving teams for over a year, we had a wonderful visit from our friends KNOX SPORTS. They are an answered prayer. As we shared in our previous newsletter, Honduras was severely hit by storms Eta and Iota last year. Thousands lost their homes, and one of them was our student, Rostyn Izaguirre. We prayed for the opportunity to build him a house, and the Lord sent Knox Sports our way. This was the third home we got to build with them. The team came ready to work hard in construction, but they also brought sports uniforms for our children. It was a very joyful occasion delivering those to them.

Through our friend and brother David Erber and the company Integrity Rehab Group another house for POINT children will be built. Site clean-up is done, and construction will soon begin. We are so excited! The Ortiz Family is so thankful! This has been their prayer for many years, and the Lord has answered! He is indeed good!
Soccer in Honduras is the one activity that can erase political, religious, and social lines. This month we had a lovely visit from Cristhian Altamirano. A soccer player from the most popular national league team. He visited our POINT center in the neighborhood of Feb. 21 to celebrate Children's Day. He and his family gave our children gifts and cake but, most importantly, shared the Gospel. To say the least, it was a very memorable day.
FUTURE EVENTS
At POINT, we know the importance of keeping women healthy. And while improving women's health is a challenge worldwide, it is a matter of vital importance for women in developing countries. Therefore in October, we will have our annual Women's Healthcare Campaign. Our goal is to reach 300 women and give them pap smears and breast exams. Please pray for this campaign to go as planned.
In November, our ministry friend Pepper Horn, Global Director for Downline Ministries, will be leading a virtual seminar on Evangelism. We are so excited! One of our prayers is to open a church in each POINT center location. Seminars and trainings such as this are great tools to prepare and equip men and women of God to reach out and fulfill the great commission. Please pray as we start planning for this event.
